So just what is a "Marketing Weasel"?

"Marketing Weasel" is a highly technical term applied to those who have pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honors to the task of keeping the public informed about the coolest upcoming game releases.

Hi,

We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We're the geniuses behind the marketing effort for Battlezone (that Computer Gaming World Action Game of the Year for the PC). Although it seemed flawless at the time, we've found that the marketing plan lacked a certain appeal to, well, almost all PC gamers. The net result of our stellar campaign was to be listed among Cnet GameCenter's dubious award list: "The Best Games that No One Bought". I tell you, it's enough to make us want to go back to marketing weasel school and actually pay attention this time.

John and Jamey: One too many?

But then we came up with a great idea as we were finishing our third martini at lunch. The fans know more about what makes Battlezone great than we could ever hope to capture on a shiny ad or a pretty box. So let's ask for their help in spreading the word.

Click on the following Ecards link http://bz2.ecards.com, and it will take you to a spiffy looking Battlezone II Ecard. After you've enjoyed the Ecard and played the demo, click on that big "CONTEST" button and send the Ecard to five of your nearest and dearest friends, letting them know how cool Battlezone II will be (it will launch this holiday season). Even better, encourage them to send the Ecard to five of their friends, and they can send it to five of their friends, and so on, and so on, and so on, and so on (you get the picture).

To prove that we're not complete dolts, if you send the Ecard to five of your friends, we'll enter you in a random drawing to win over 500 cool prizes, like:

1st Prize: 5 Voodoo 3 3000 cards
2nd Prize: 10 Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer cards
3rd Prize: 10 Activision Game Packs (choice of 5 Activision games)
More Prizes: 500 Battlezone II posters, Intel hats, Sweat Shirts and Key Chains.

Please help us tell the world how great Battlezone II is. It would be a terrible shame to end up on the "Best Sequels that No One Bought" list.

Thank you for your support,
